Hi, I'm Sam. :) I live in Syracuse, New York with my handsome devil of a husband (who designed this website -- didn't he do a great job?) and our pets. I've been writing for Harlequin Blaze since 2004, and I love sexy romance best among all genres. I'm currently writing a single title paranormal romance. When it sells, readers at Exploding Cigars will be the first to know!
I'm addicted to several shows, including being a lifelong Buffy and Angel fan (my cats are even named Buffy and Willow), as well as being faithful to Survivor, LOST, Desperate Housewives, and The Pretender. I'll watch absolutely anything having to do with Superheroes, which includes Heroes and Smallville. As a former single parent I love the Old Adventures of New Christine, and most comedy. I am a total wuss about violence, don't watch any of the "gross shows" (CSI or its cousins, and basically I nix anything with serial killers, rapists, blood and guts, etc) though I enjoy Bones because the characters are strong, and who doesn't enjoy looking at David Boreanaz for 60 minutes a week? I also love The Closer, because Kira Sedgewick is playing one of the best TV characters I've ever seen on that show, her supporting cast is amazing, and while it's a little gross sometimes, it's not a show to be missed if you think about characterization a lot, which I do.
I used to teach writing at Syracuse University before I got my masters in Environmental Geography (which I'd just finished when I sold my first book and decided to become a full time writer -- life has interesting twists and turns, doesn't it?). So I'm into the environment and nature, and a percentage of the money I make from my books is donated to various environmental and animal welfare organizations. So when you buy my books, you're helping protect the world. Cool, huh? ;)
I feel extraordinarily lucky to be able to do this for a living, and I really look forward to getting to know people here at Exploding Cigars.
