I am ashamed of myself...

Sorry for the double post, but I can't believe I was so blank this morning as to not do my sacred duty and yell out:

GO RED SOX!!!!

There. Now I feel better. ;) Sam

Yeah, for you, My Mets

Yeah, for you, My Mets totally self destructed the last couple of weeks of the season. Still I'm a National League gal and I'll cheer for the Rockies, sorry.

Go, Sox!!

Well, Sam, being a lifelong member of Red Sox Nation, I wanted to post that myself this morning, but didn't want to irritate anyone who might be from Cleveland (or New York!!). It was a great playoff series!! Leave it to them to keep the suspense going for seven games!! And we won't even talk about my boy, Tom, and his amazing Brady Bunch!!

Well, I wear my Boston cap

Well, I wear my Boston cap all the time, including to the NYS Fair, LOL, and New Yorkers are generally pretty good about it -- in fact, we're like a little not-so-secret club -- when I wear my hat around here, I always run into at least one other Boston fan who takes notice (and the Yankees fans do so in good spirit, I've found). I have not worn my cap in NYC, however, though I know they also have an enclave for Red Sox fans -- but why beg for trouble? ;)

I actually like the Indians, too, and if they had been playing anyone else (especially the Yankees) I would have cheered them on. But you know, I love two teams... The Sox and anyone who beats the Yankees... ;)

I was a Yankees fan when I was a kid, the Bucky Dent days, but that's back when I didn't know any better... I developed my Boston affinity through friends and family in New England, I fell in love with the team, and when I finally made it to Fenway, I was in heaven. So, I am pretty unashamed about cheering them on, since being a New York Red Sox fan is something of a peculiarity, anyway. ;)

Sam

I'm so disappointed...

...I thought better of you, Sam.

Go ROCKIES!!! :-)

Hey now...

I mean, come on...we're all allowed our secrets, LOL. ;)

Sam

But...

...now the cat is out of the bag! He he! ;-)

C

That's true, LOL

I don't have too many dirty little secrets, so being a NY Red Sox fan is probably as racey as it gets! lol

Sam

I am with Cathy on this....

I am with Cathy on this.... GO ROCKIES!!!!

What can I say I live near Denver:)

Kendra

Woo hoo, Kendra!

I'm on the west side...you? Did you get tickets?

cathy w

We are about 20 min north of the airport..no we didn't get tickets..not from lack of trying though:)

Same here...

...it would have been fun to get to go to a game! :-)

I would kill to go to a Red Sox series game...

Well, metaphorically speaking, anyway, but the tickets are so far out of my price range I can't even think about it, not to mention getting there...

I'll just have to watch on TV, which is fine... :)

Sam

TV will be just fine!

*IF* I had gotten the opportunity to purchase tickets at the prices the Rockies were selling them at, I could have splurged on some of the cheaper ones and been quite happy. I can't even begin to allow my pocketbook to think about paying what all these "resellers" are charging!

I know, it's ridiculous...

I'm sure the Fenway tickets are gone, I bet, and on top of that, it would be a 5 hour drive back and forth, or an overnight, hotel, food, etc so it would really add up...

But yes, TV is fine... though one of these days! I've been to regular season games, but a series game would be really special...

Sam

My Mariners weren't even

My Mariners weren't even close.
So---Go Boston!

Holy Smokes...

Sorry, folks, but if game one is any indication, this is going to be a quick series... SOX are HOT!

Sam

OUCH!!!

Luckily, one game isn't any indication. *wink*

Cathy

That's true...

Which we know from the last time the Sox won the playoffs. ;)

JT is doing the anthem tonight -- I love him. We saw him last year in concert, and he's always great.
