Here are a few pictures from our trip...including the pink flamingo I bought and brought home for the garden. :) A little touch of vacation here at home. I'm still adjusting to being home and strategizing how much I have to write to become a professional beach bum. The lifestyle agrees with me.

You see our room was right on the beach -- and what you can't see is the beach bar about 20 feet to the left -- they made a great frozen Rum Rummer. ;)

Congratulations Bethr. Enjoy Sams book and the gifts. Welcome back Sam. If I stayed at a place with a view like that, I'd want to become a professional Beach Bum too. I won't dare tell my oldest son about your pink flamingo. He'll want one too. His artist name is Papa Flamingo and he has his entire room decorated in Pink Flamingos. Did you get a chance to read BID? The first chapter had me laughing so hard that I had tears in my eyes. Eve, Roarke and babies just don't mix. Thanks for posting the pictures. I didn't get to BID -- ends up my reading wasn't quite as fast as I thought it would be, and we did spend time doing more than laying around (though a good amount of that) though I did pick up Angel Falls at one of the airport bookstores, and I have to admit I think it's one of the best Noras I've read in a while -- she did an excellent job of making me guess who the bad guy was, and I enjoyed it very much. Classic Nora, and why I always enjoyed her books in the first place. I think it's the best one she's done in a long time, but I'm looking forward to BID, too.
