Technical Difficulty
Sometimes, I'm pretty sure this is just my nickname.
You probably won't believe this, but I put my post in last night like a good little West Coast girl. It was funny. I even got a Dr. Seuss "Sam I Aren't" joke in there. This morning, I thought, since I'm so on the ball for once, I'll go have a nice brekkie with hubby and the girls (which really was a nice treat for us)and when I get back, I'll check the blog.
Except, there's no post.
(Insert theatrical "Noooooooooooooooooooo!" scream.)
I didn't even save it, overriding my urge to do so because, what's the point?
It's like when I put something down one second and when I turn back, it's gone. I'm pretty sure I'm dogged by little gremlins. Or Fairies who like to make me crazy. Part of me would love to blame the kids, but I'm just that goofy.
So, tell me how your morning started. Good day, bad day? Need a cookie day? I got the treat before the trouble, so I'm okay. What do you do to make your day brighten?
Hugs,
Dee

Hey, TD
Cookies aren't going to cut it. Won't get into details, but let's just call it a whole cake day and be done with it. ;) I was thinking about going to look at fabrics for comfort, but I'm worried about getting in the car at this rate...
Sam
You could...
take a walk. Wait, it snows where you are. Whatever you do, don't shovel snow. I'd do the fabrics and stop at a bakery. This is a bakery day.
Dee
Good Day
I started my day by spilling just a few drops of coffee on my keyboard and making it act screwy. However, with the help of my son and the heater, problem solved. And I received a compliment on my newest book from a copy editor. I'd say good day. Hope your day gets better, Dee.
To Jeannie I say...
Copy editors are so wise!
Ellen H.
A gray day here...
...in Philly, but they say that SNOW is on the way, which makes me happy. Nothing better than having the kids weekend soccer cancelled so we can stay home and read books!
I also got a manuscript back from the copyeditor and she wrote on the very last line, "weak last line...I think it should say..(etc, etc...).." I nearly fell off my chair. I actually love it when they say stuff like that--the more opinions the better--but I LOVE my last line. I think it's funny.
Hmm...better call it a day.
To Diana I say...
Copy editors don't know what they're talking about.
;-)
Maybe I should go into politics.
Ellen H.
P.S. Was your last line, "And they lived happily ever after," by any chance?
LOL!
Ah Ellen, that was too funny.
Hopefully, two different copy editors. :)
A semi-rotten day here
I have a chinook induced headache without the benifits of the chinook itself as it's up there somewhere but not dropping down to the surface to warm things up. Supposed to go above zero C tommorrow! We will see if that happens.
Dh is home because he didn't get any leads-no leads =no work = no pay. I don't get all the stuff I want to get done done when dh is home.
Good part. It's free book Friday on eHarlequin and I ordered Jeannie's book. Bad part I was going to order Karen Foley's book also and in my headache induced fog forgot to. Maybe next week I will be better organized? I really want to read Able- Bodied.
Dee I think I share your nickname as I lose posts all the time. I think I have hit the post comment button only to have my post disappear into the nether regions.
Offering Cyber Cookies Cake and Creme Brule to everyone. Non fattening and so good for the soul.
Thanks Kaelee
But I'm going whole hog for real cookies.
Shoot, it just hit me, it's time for lunch!!
Dee
Work at home
I work at home on Fridays. I love this day--working in my PJs is my favorite kind of work day.
Sorry to everyone who had technical or other trouble. Last night at work our new web site software ate up a whole procedure I'd just finished. Thank goodness I was alone in the office because the air in my cube was thick with bad language. ;-) I don't know about the rest of you but when something like that happens I sit there and click Back or ESC or Undo way more times than I should. I know it's not going to magically reappear, but I keep hoping.
Is that the definition of a romance/technical writer?
Ellen H.
That's pretty much what I did
this morning. Technical Difficulty tends to get me when I'm not looking and it drives me bonkers.
Day actually gone pretty good. Babies napped early. Downside, one bit me while nursing and they shortened their naps.
I'm pretty sure I won't have revenge until I'M in diapers.
:)
Dee
Cold
My morning started started off well, but it was freezing this morning. I'm a little tired so I can't wait to go home and have a cookie or two.
Awww...
Hugs, Dee! Today wasn't bad--got a few things done, and got some fun stuff in the mail, so so far, I'm smiling :) But any day can be improved with baked goods, so cookies and cakes for everyone!
Need chocolate
So sorry to hear about your lost blog. Sounds like something good chocolate could cure. :-D
That or a computer that saves your work when you forget to.
My morning started out slow because it was Sunday and as has happened nearly every night for the past week, I woke up in the wee hours for no apparent reason then couldn't get back to sleep for a while. We had planned on going to church early, but I couldn't drag myself out of bed in time.
My usual plan to brighten a dismal day is (a) meet a friend for breakfast or lunch (b) head to a bookstore or (c) hit the emergency chocolate stash.
Speaking of, I need to replenish my supply.
