Across The Universe
I'm not a real "believer" in horoscopes, but I do get a kick out of reading them. Hubby is so horrified by this habit that I kinda do it behind his back. It's not that he doesn't know, but more that he doesn't HAVE to know when I do it. This way, everyone is happy. Usually, I check mine out at the end of a month or middle, checking to see if the astrologist got anything right. But since I'm awake and hubby isn't, come with me while I look into the stars and see if anything good is ahead...
Apparently, there are two eclipses coming this month and both of them are friendly. (What, heavenly bodies like to rub up on one another from time to time. It's how we get more heavenly bodies.) For some reason, the site says that "These lunar and solar events will coax you to explore the world outside your door." That will be an interesting feat for sure, since I barely go out to check the mail.
The first one is July 7th, and "will bring a matter to culmination", likely with someone I love--anyone I love. That's curious, because I do have something pending about my sister's children. So...we'll see. But it says I'd either be taking a long trip and that's just not likely, since I'll have the kids for a few weeks around that time or I might host someone who's doing the travel. My father is coming down on the train around then...so maybe they're on to something.
"It is also possible that you will explore the idea of doing some sort of import-export of goods, services, or information with individuals in a foreign country. " Now, the writer in me gets excited about this one because I have a manuscript out with a publisher based in a foreign country (Canada, before you start thinking I'm fluent in other languages).
This just gave me a giggle: "This July 7 eclipse will be in beautiful angle to Saturn, and Saturn rules the sign where this eclipse will fall - Capricorn - a signal that things will go well. Saturn will be based in your fifth house of fun, love, children, and creative projects". Truthfully, I didn't know I had five houses of fun. I like the prediction that things will go well, though, because...well, who wants things to go bad?
"On or just after July 21 may be the time you sell your book idea"... Oooooooh! I'm marking my calendar! (Do you hear, NYC? You have permission to buy me this month! Wooooot!)
"The third house is also associated with contracts, so just after July 21, you may be offered one to look over. If so, it appears that you'll like the terms."--Um, if NYC calls, it's fairly sure I'm going to like the terms. Just saying.
Also, Mars and Venus will be shacking up in my financial house and while I'm to expect them to throw money around, I'm going to be earning some too. (Which is nice. I like earning money)
Sadly, Uranus is going to be backed up a little. (Sorry, I couldn't resist) So, I'm to expect some career set backs. Since I have more than one job, I'll assume the slump is NOT with my publishing career. (It better not be, lol.) But the slowdown will give me time to get my career plans in order because July 10th is my day of lucky--for my career, apparently.
So, in short, my career is going good, no bad, no good for this month. I'll take two goods. Waaaaaaay better than three bads.
How about you? Check out YOUR horoscope and tell us if you're going to have a good month too!

Horoscope
Mine is kinda strange--lifestyle may change dramatically now or in time
says Capricorn will have the power to create dramatic shifts in my career (what career? I'm retired!)
Cancer will bring big news in regard to real estate, home or family matters (as long as it's good news that's ok)
Didn't understand a whole lot of the rest of it.
LOL, I had to read...
some of mine twice. Still giggling over a backed up uranus, though. I know, I'm juvenile.
But now that it says I'm traveling, I can't help but wonder? Where would I go?? Am I going alone? Hot vakay with hubby?? The stars are very vague. :)
Already there.... LOL
I have to check at the start of the month, and it really annoys me when they don't have them up on time (hear that, CafeAstrology.com???).
But I do like the AstrologyZone forecasts and have found them to be generally correct if sometimes overstated -- when she says "fantastic, thrilling" I find something in the ball park of "good or pretty good" or, "you'll find a windfall of cash" usually ends up being a rebate card in the mail or maybe a few hundred bucks, but not a lottery win, LOL.
But still... she has been freakishly on target with some things. For instance, she predicted exactly, to the day, when we bought our car we have now, and even said the circumstances under which we would buy it and this past month, also accurately predicted a health problem, probably stomach related, which would be happily resolved, but I would be seeing my dr -- all true. As much as I try to have a healthy dose of skepticism and try to avoid self-fulfilling prophecy, I also think it would be hard for me to have arranged to have two weeks of severe gerd which did lead me to the drs office, and yes, things were happily resolved. Last month, she also predicted I would get some kind of career/publishing treat the week I was asked to do the online read. :)
So I am wishing that kind of specificity for you this month, Dee! ;)
Mine had happy news, too... the eclipses seem to be my friend, and I liked some of these comments in particular:
"Another outstanding time for financial talks will include all the days spanning July 16 through July 20. That's fantastic! In that period you will have Mercury in loving trine aspect to Uranus (July 16), the mighty Sun in divine angle to Uranus (July 18, one of your best days of the month), and Mercury in perfect angle to Mars (July 20). It doesn't matter which day you choose to have a meeting - these will all be four-star days. Some sort of middleman, such as an agent, lawyer, representative, or broker may be very instrumental to your sudden luck. " -- this is Nationals week, so yay. :) But I figure, if you take her prediction here and water it down by a third, that's probably more likely. LOL But then again, why not hope big, right? After all, I do have that new proposal floating... and my agent does have it.
The rest seems to indicate that a period of long work, which I have been in, is about to pay off, and while I have a slower, more relaxing time at the start of July, to take advantage of that, because things really take off later, and will be very busy, particularly in Oct/Nov when things come to real fruition -- hey, good by me (that sounds like the time it would take to finish a new book I just happen to have proposed, and perhaps, have it sold??? Hmmm?). ;) Interestingly, the book I have been working on is the result of two hard years of trial and error (which she has mentioned routinely), and so hopefully, it is coming to fruition now. That would be nice.
But I also think we make our own fruit, LOL -- have to do the work (thank you Saturn) though Uranus is cooperating nicely for me (imagination, ideas, which do seem nicely oiled lately), and Jupiter in my corner (thanks Big Guy).
So, here's hoping for happy forecasts for everyone, and all the good bits being right on!
Sam
If I sell this month...
I will never mock a horoscope (unless it's TOTALLY ridiculous) ever again. :) But I'll take that good luck bump!! :)
Dee
(who had no idea you were dragging heels on that dr even WITH a warning. :) Bad Sam!)
Yeah, you know...
I am Bad Sam, it's true. I hate medical stuff, and I do tend to drag heels a lot in that direction... I try to do what I need to, but I also put it off as long as humanly possible...
Sam
Wow - that's long!
Backed up uranus. He he. I'm feeling juvenile this morning, too. :-)
Wow - the extended horoscope for Aries is long. I don't have time to read and analyze all of it right now, but I like the way it begins! It is supposed to be a good month, with good things happening in real estate, home and family matters. We just learned that the renter in our CO house gave his notice. Let's hope this means that we'll find a new one quick. Maybe even for a little more money? Or is that being greedy?
Fun topic, Dee!
Oh good, it's not just me!
I don't think that's greedy. The whole world costs more lately. You gotta eat. :)
Hugs,
Dee
Mine was awesome
Any other folks who are Aquarius should follow Dee's link--it gave me a nice boost just imagining all the good stuff predicted for me.
I saw some things that could definitely be true so who knows? It mentioned I've been working on my house and that is true. It also says I should act now because by the end of July the help I've had with the house will disappear. My mom offered to pay for a bathroom remodel and I've been dragging my feet on finding a contractor--think I better step up the pace before she withdraws her support. ;-)
I don't live and breathe horoscopes but I do like to read them every once in a while. I'm fond of the characteristics for my sign and so I enjoy thinking some of it might be true. Oddly, I've refused to look up the signs for my boys. I don't want to start thinking they "should" be one way or the other. I'm easily influenced by suggestion.
Thanks for the link! Let the good luck commence for all of us!
I'm drawn to them...
Not sure why, exactly. But the traits for all my signs are usually really good for me. I'm a Taurus--stubborn, grounded, a bit tight fisted (get money out of my hand, I DARE you.) and I'm just ever so aggressive, esp when annoyed, lol. (polishes horn point)
I'm also a snake on the Chinese Zodiac. :) Means I'm "wise" (giggle) and likely to be a writer. Works for me!

Home stuff
Same here -- I clued into that one, too -- have been working on the yard and have the gardens caught up, finally, and I have to clean out the upstairs two rooms and get them ready for company for end of July, and I guess I'd better get on that. :)
I read astrology zone, and Brezny's Free Will Scope (which is usually pretty good, kind of funky) and Cafe Astrology which can be okay. Then I usually forget them and have to check back later in the month thinking, what did they say again? LOL
I agree, good luck all around...
Sam
Dee...
I think we should all come back at the end of the month in another blog and see what happened for who and how close it all came. ;)
Sam
That's a great idea...
I'll make a note to come back to the points!
Hugs,
Dee
I think it would be fun. :)
I just checked cafe astrology, and while I like some of their scopes (they are the only ones who let you run an online natal chart and also talk about ascendants, etc), they are never on time for the monthlies. Drives me nuts. I know it's a free service, but if you post a website that does scopes, then, well.... Astrologyzone used to be late a lot, too, until people were complaining a lot.
But, I don't know why it bugs me so much. As Ellen said, I don't live or breathe by these -- though I do enjoy the ritual of checking them, and maybe we get a little boost of hope or affirmation. And there's just something fun about it. I tend not to like anything that isn't on time, LOL, so I suppose this is no different.
But I also assume, that if there is something to astrology, and I don't rule it out, that there's no way even scopes of relative detail can be this generally applicable -- there's no way the astrology zone predictions can play out equally for both me and Ellen, for instance. We are completely different people, so I guess that's where you say we're looking at general trends, and things like the other planetary influences, or our lives, or who knows that, would count in bending those trends in different directions. But... will be interesting to see what we come back with at the end of the month. LOL
Sam
Great idea!! I like the
Great idea!! I like the idea of checking back to see how things went! :-)
