Well, folks, this is it. My last "official" post here at the Love is an Exploding Cigar blog! It's also moving on toward the end of the year. Things are getting wrapped and wrapped up! Presents are being given and gotten. Food, oh yes, my dears, food is being eaten and drinks are being drunk.

And amidst the madness, I'd like to say thank you to the lovely ladies of this blog for having me be a part of it. Thanks for the great, thought-provoking posts and the wonderful comments. I've had a great time here!

I'll be heading out today to support the economy by purchasing a few last-minute gifts for friends and family. I might sneak a diet Dr. Pepper in there along the way. I'd much rather stay home and write, especially considering the fact my kids are now going to be home from school for a loooooooong time, but...something is compelling me to get out there and mingle in the crowds. Call me crazy, but there's something festive about this time of year and since I've done most of my shopping online, I have missed a large part of it.

Later this afternoon I might well be nursing a headache and bah-humbugging about the state of humanity, but for now, I'm heading off into the wilds in search of gift cards and gift certificates...and a big old drink!
