The other day, hubby and I were at a restaurant and we were at our usual impasse. "So, do you need anything else?"
It's the question he always asks right before he sits down and he won't sit down if I don't have absolute surety on my face. (I know, isn't he awesome?) Problem is, I think things through carefully before answering, which he takes as a sign that I'm debating whether or not I want something or actually need something, a quality to my personality that drives him ever so slightly batty.
So it was as he hovered that I learned something new and fascinating about my husband. A piece of his personality clicked into place in my understanding, so much so that I practically heard the sound in my head. I've been with this man longer than I was ever by myself, so I really thought I understood him just fine already, but here I was, clicking anyway.
By the way, he did get to sit down. Eventually.
