Summer Fun

Summer in New England is wonderful, but this year we have been absolutely deluged with rain. I think the month of June had 21 days of rain. The river has been high for weeks and the water is running dangerously fast, making it difficult to even walk out on the docks. My gardens are suffering from rot because of the excessive moisture, and my house smells damp. My sister canceled her annual camping vacation because let's face it; who wants to be stuck in a wet tent with three kids? But when the sun does come out...ahhh. Wonderful.
