What's Special?

The other day, hubby wanted an eggplant omelet, like his mother used to make. With hamburger and raisins. (I know, they sound scary, but they taste REALLY good!) And since he's attempting to exercise more, he walked to the neighborhood store to get the supplies. He walked home and bustled and baked his special eggplant and worked to produce this big platter of excellent omelets. Of course, there would be leftovers.
And the next day, it goes without saying...I accidentally got hungry.

I have a plan

Did you ever notice that this time of year could be termed the grand kick off to one of the biggest struggles we women (and maybe men) fight year in and year out? Halloween, Thanksgiving, the Winter Holidays (how PC is that?)and the end game, New Years Eve and day. You know how it goes. Start with those cute and harmless tiny funsized candies leftover after the trick or treaters all go to bed. Head into the wonderful joy of harvest dinner and then the joy of the cookie season. Ahhh, the delicious calories. Darned 5 pounds last almost as long as the scrapbook pages I love creating .
My solution this year?
Romance!

Changes...and a Giveaway!

The winner of the B&N planner and chocolates is...Ellen! Send your snail mail address to me at karenefoley@comcast.net, and I'll put these goodies in the mail. Thanks to everyone for stopping by and giving me such great tips!
When I was growing up, my parents were always telling me that I'd lose my head if it wasn't attached to my body. As I got older, I got better about keeping track of things, and I prided myself on being a fairly organized person. Lately, though...I don't know what's happening to me! For instance, if Sam hadn't reminded me that today is my day to blog, I'd have had no idea (thanks, Sam!).
