More Summer Vacation....

Continuing with the summer vacation theme, mine has begun. And for the first time in twenty some years, I’m spending it alone. Time stretches before me and don’t think I don’t love it!
My kids were small when I got my teaching job—my son was 1 and my daughter was 3. I spent summers with them while my husband worked long hours at the mine. He would leave at 5:00 a.m. and get home at 7:00 p.m. On a good night.
