Cigars in 2008 -- Welcome New Members!

Hey folks -- we were going to hold off until tomorrow for this, but as Sam's been doing site updates as she's had time to do them, and we see that some folks are getting a tad nervous about Sarah and Karen leaving the blog, so we thought we'd pop in now and let you all know what's the what. :)
First, no worries, Cigars is up and active (smokin', some would say *G*), and we're not going anywhere. ;) The blog is doing very well, largely due to all of you who come by and chat with us, so don't stop! ;) In fact, we have plenty of exciting news.
While it was sad for us to lose Sarah and Karen, some of you have already noticed the new covers on the right and the new names on the left. Yes, Megan Hart, Jeannie Watt, and Dee Tenorio will be new regular bloggers! Woo hoo! Big welcomes!
They've all been here as guests and members of the site, and we couldn't be more thrilled to have them here. Having Jeannie, Dee, and Megan will be loads of fun, and we're really looking forward to an exciting 2008, so we hope you'll welcome them here with us by posting bountifully. ;) Variety truly is the spice of life, as Jeannie writes for Superromance, Dee writes contemporary and erotic fiction for Samhain and Megan writes erotic fiction for Spice. In addition to the rest of us and our guests, it's easy to see there will always be something for everyone here at Cigars.
Additionally, we'll also be adding a "News" bar over on the left, so keep an eye out for that, which will allow us to post signings, upcoming appearances, new releases, awards, and anything else you might like to know.
We'll be doing a bit more for writers in 2008 as well. Several of our guests will be posting writing workshops, and Shirley will be running workshops, too. We'll have editors and agents stopping in, and we're going to run contests and giveaways as always, as well as coming up with fun new features like the Cigar Shop, where we all answer a common question to chat about. We're even doing a blog switch for one week in Feb with the Writeminded ladies, so that will be a blast!
So, never fear, Cigars is up and hopping well into 2008 and hopefully beyond. But the real key to an active blog is YOU, the readers, who come by to talk with us everyday, and we hope you'll keep on doing that.

It's great to be one of the Newbies!
I just want to say how excited I am to be an official member of Cigars! I enjoyed my guest blog back in September and when Sam asked if I wanted to be regular, I jumped at the chance.
My first official blog is this Friday, so I'll wait until then to introduce myself, but I am looking forward to a romping good time here at Cigars.

You can totally tell I'm on the west coast, lol. It's almost 11 here and I'm in the throes of laundry/babies but I wanted to be sure to stop in and thank y'all for the warm welcome while I still remembered. It's not that I wasn't awake. It's that I had the brilliant idea of starting my new year with a fresh clean house.
Clearly, I'm insane.
Living room was rearranged and it turns out...there really IS a lot of crap on my desk. BUT, the good part is that I'm now in my own little office like area and there's even space for my books! AND...alas, the exercise bike has been dug out again. Now that I'm fully recovered from the c-section and can't lie about it, it's time to drag my rump back up there and get back to my daily regimen. Whimper.
Thank God I'll have a nice Cigar to come to everyday!

Ok, so I'm dipping my toes in here and looking forward to getting to know all of you! I'm still trying to figure out how everything here works -- it's a little different than my own l'il wordpress blog and I can only hope I won't screw up my formatting and whatnot. So be patient with me!
AND I have it set up to subscribe automatically to comments but so far, they're not really coming through so fast. So. I'll have to work on that!
